Uses & Feeding Rates

Hominy corn meal is a versatile feed ingredient that can be used across multiple livestock applications.

Cattle

  • Feedlot rations: Up to 40% of grain component
  • Drought feeding: 2 – 4 kg/head/day with roughage
  • Dairy supplement: 2 – 5 kg/head/day in concentrate mix

Introduce gradually. Combine with roughage and mineral supplements.

Sheep

  • Maintenance: 200 – 400 g/head/day
  • Lamb finishing: 400 – 700 g/head/day
  • Ewes (lactating): 300 – 600 g/head/day

Mix with other grains or pellets for a balanced ration.

  • Growers: Up to 35% of total ration
  • Finishers: Up to 45% of total ration
  • Breeding stock: Up to 25% of total ration

Excellent energy source. Balance with protein and vitamins.
